Nicki Minaj reached out to Tekashi 6ix9ine, as he prepares to spend the Thanksgiving weekend behind bars.
The rapper, aka, 6ix9ine, is facing a life sentence and a minimum of 32 years behind bars if convicted after he was indicted on six felony counts - including drug trafficking and conspiracy to murder earlier this week.
The rapper was denied bail on Monday and postponed an emergency release hearing on Wednesday to protect his family, claiming his managers and aides he fired last week are all out to get him.
There was a bright spot for Tekashi, real name Daniel Hernandez, on Wednesday, when Minaj reached out to him via social media to wish him well and to tell him she was praying for him and his family.
"Danny, I love you and am praying for you, your Mother, daughter & her Mom during this time," Nicki wrote, explaining that record bosses had put the release of his upcoming album on hold as a result of his troubles.
"For reasons beyond music, the record company will hold off on putting his project out for now," she wrote alongside an animated Instagram image of the tattooed rap star.
6ix9ine and three former associates were arrested on Sunday night on six counts of racketeering, firearms, assault with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy murder charges through his involvement with New York gang the Nine Trey Gangster Bloods.
His lawyer is appealing his bail ban, insisting his client is innocent of all charges.
Tekashi has also maintained his innocence, insisting he doesn't have ties to gang leaders.
