American Hip Hop star Kendrick Lamar got love from across the pond last night. K. Dot beat out Childish Gambino, Drake, Beck, and DJ Khaled for the International Male Solo Artist honor at the BRIT Awards 2018.

Lamar also performed during the show with Rich The Kid. Some social media users were upset that parts of the TDE emcee's performance were muted.

His fellow Black Panther: The Album contributor, Jorja Smith, won the Critics’ Choice Award. Grime artist Stormzy took home trophies for British Male Solo Artist and British Album of the Year (Gang Signs & Prayer).

The 2018 Brit Awards were held at the O2 Arena in London. Other winners at this year's ceremony included Dua Lipa, Gorillaz, Lorde, Foo Fighters, and Harry Styles.
